Pitlochry to Dunkeld Loop
A pleasant relaxing half day bike tour, which was a loop down to Dunkeld using the old military road high above the A9, and then back up north on the west side of the River Tay, past Dalmarnock Wood, the Tay Forest, and then a return to Pitlochry through Logierait Woods, with the finish at Blair Athol Distillery.
During this tour, one of our guests made a very telling observation that 'no photo really does a lot of the views justice!' She was of course correct, as once out cycling on some of these quiet country roads, not only are the views totally different to what the masses get to see travelling up and down the A9.. but when high up overlooking the landscape and that A9, you also enjoy cycling in this part of Highland Perthshire without the sounds of vehicles, or the smell of petrol 😉
